On November 26th and 27th a winter storm passed over most of Lakes Superior, Huron and Michigan. On Lake Superior several ships were forced to seek shelter in the harbour at Thunder Bay.

Paterson anchored 11/26 enroute from Duluth to Quebec with grain - She resumed her eastbound voyage on the 28th
Canadian Enterprise anchored 11/27 enroute to Duluth to load coal - She resumed her westbound transit on the 28th
Reserve anchored 11/26 enroute from Calcite, Michigan to Superior, Wisconsin with limestone. She departed on the 28th.
St. Clair anchored 11/27 enroute to Two Harbors in ballast to load taconite ore. She departed on the 28th.
Middletown anchored 11/27 enroute to Silver Bay in ballast to load ore for Ashtabula. She departed 11/28
Canadian Transfer anchored early on the 28th enroute to Duluth to unload salt. She departed later that day.
