The bunkering tanker Hamilton Energy is seen in this photograph as she was secured alongside wharf 2 in the harbour at Port Weller during the early afternoon hours of December 15th, 2001. The tug Glenevis was secured to her port quarter and was out of sight.

She was destined for Port Weller Drydocks where she would spend the winter of 2001-2 undergoing a refit that would see a new engine intalled, a new variable pitch propeller and a stern thruster fitted and hull painting. On April 1st of 2001 she was badly damaged in Hamilton when she was struck by the Ocean vessel Utviken. As a result of the accident Hamilton Energy's rudder post was broken, her stern plating was damaged, her propeller was bent and the propeller shaft was driven into the engine block destroying it.
