The 1963-built Great Lakes class, bulk carrier Silver Isle is seen in this photograph while she
was laid up at Port McNicoll, Ontario on March 18th, 1988. At the time this picture was taken she was
being unloaded of her winter storage cargo of grain.
Algosound is in the background having already been unloaded of her storage cargo. The
Algogulf and Senneville also spent the winter laid up at Port
McNicoll that year with storage loads of grain that were unloaded at various times through the winter months.
