Petrolia Desgagnes - Quebec, Canada

The petroleum products tanker Petrolia Desgagnes is seen in this photograph as she being towed past Vercheres, Quebec (east of Montreal) on December 10th, 2000 by the tugs Ocean Echo II and Ocean Intrepide. The Petrolia Desgagnes had lost her rudder two days earlier while sailing westbound in the Seaway for Sarnia with a cargo of diesel oil. She was bound for Quebec City in this picture after the Diamond Star had unloaded her cargo. Photograph by Marc Piche.
