The self-unloading bulk carrier Frontenac is seen in this photograph while she was sailing northbound in the Welland Canal during the morning hours of March 28th, 2002. She had spent the winter months at Thunder Bay being repainted in red, the colour she originally sailed with as a straight decker. This was her first voyage in the canal and she was destined for Stelco in Hamilton with a cargo of iron ore pellets from Duluth.
