She was built in Brazil and entered service as Rodrigo Torrealba for Companhia Paulista de Comercio Maritimo of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She sailed as such until 1985 when she was sold and renamed Uniselva by Naviera Universal, Peru. In December of 1993 she was sold to Focus Point International (Unimarine Shipping Lines, Philipines), renamed Asia Prosperity and re-flagged to Belize.
Only a few years of service followed and in February of 1995 she was sold for scrapping in India for around $764,000 (US).
