The 1972-built, 242-dwt, 807-grt, deep sea tug Ocean Wrestler is seen in this photograph
while she was tucked alongside McKeil Marine's yard in Hamilton on November 21st, 1999. Moored
alongside Ocean Wrestler is
Pacific Standard while the small harbour tug
Paul E. No. 1 is tucked under her bow. Immediately behind her are the tugs
Techno St. Laurent and
She was built in Oostende, Belgium by Belaird-Murdoch S.A. as Wrestler. She was renamed
Ocean Wrestler in 1989, Hadisangsuria in 1996 and Ocean Wrestler again in
1998. At the time this picture was taken she was owned by Bevis Assets Ltd. - A division
of McKeil Marine.
Nice pic of Ocean Wrestler posted to your site. At present she is laid up here in Vancouver, in fact specifically at Allied Shipyards
in North Vancouver. I see her almost every day from a large bridge that we use to get from North Van to Vancouver over the Burrard
Inlet. She is indeed quite a tug – looks like she could tow a mountain!
