** On 16 February 1994 River Andoni was laid up Ellesmere, England and she was subsequently arrested
** During the summer of 1996 she was sold by creditors of the Nigerian National Shipping Line Ltd.
** On 8 August 1996 she arried at Birkenhead, England where she was to have undergone reconditioning prior to returning to service
** On 18 August though she suffered a mojor engine room fire while lying at the Birkenhead docks
** Upon inspection River Andoni was found to be beyond economical repair and she was subsequently sold to Demtas A.S., Turkey for scrapping
** 22 December 1996 she departed Liverpool, England under tow (tug unknown) for Turkey
** 7 January 1997 she arrived off Aliaga, Turkey where she was subsequently beached for scrapping
** Work on cutting the hull started immediately and by early March two thirds of the ship was completely dismantled. Work was completed by June
