The 1979-built, 1,660-dwt, 1,624-grt container and general cargo ship Ostwind is seen in this photograph while she was underway in Germany's Kiel Canal sometime during 2000. Photograph by Malte Schwarz.

She was built in Rendsburg, Germany by Werft Nobiskrug GmbH as their hull number 696 for the Rendsburg Navigation Company. She was launched during September of 1979 and entered service during October of that year under the name St. Antonius. She became Aros Mistley in 1985, St. Antonius again in 1986, Agila in 1989 and Ostwind in 1991. When this picture was added to the archives in 1/2003 she was still listed as operational as Ostwind for Karl-Heinz Basse Schiffahrts KG, Germany.
