The 1971/2-built, 34,200-dwt, 19,990-grt, bulk carrier Nova Gorica is seen in this photograph while she was underway in the St. Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 12th, 1979.

She was built in Shimizu, Japan by Kanasashi Zosensho as Nile Maru for Sanko Kisen, Japan. She sailed as such until July of 1975 when she was sold, renamed Nova Gorica and reflagged from Japan to Yugoslavia. In March of 1994 she was sold, renamed Triglav and re-registered out of Kingstown, St. Vincent. Nearly two years later though her career came to and end. She was sold to Indian shipbreakers for around $1.3 million (US) and she arrived at Alang on December 5th, 1996 where she was later dismantled.
