She was built in Gdansk, Poland, by the Stocznia Gdanska im. Lenina shipyard as Amalia. In the years since her construction she sailed as Amalia (73), Nopal Branco (84) and Nosac Branco until she was sold for dismantling during the summer of 1987. On September 12th of that year she arrived in Kaohsiung, Taiwan where she was subsequently reduced to scrap.
