The 1998-built, 72,495-dwt, 37,695-grt, iron ore strengthend bulk carrier Norviken is seen in this photograph while she was lying at anchor at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on August 19th, 2001.

She was built in Marugame, Japan by Imabari Zosen Shipbuilding as Far Eastern Wendy for the Far Eastern Silo Corporation of Tailand. She sailed as Far Eastern Wendy until October of 2000 when she was sold to Viken Panamax AS, Norway and renamed Norviken. When this photograph was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still operational as Norviken under the flag of the Bahamas.
