The 1975-built, 17,915-dwt, 31,515-grt, Vehicle and container ship Northern Lights is seen in this photograph while she was laid up during October of 1993 likely after her conversion and lengthening.

She was built in Chester, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. by the Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Company for Puerto Rico Maritime, U.S.A. as Puerto Rico. She sailed as such until August of 1991 when she was sold to Interocean Management, U.S.A. and renamed Northern Lights. She was reported sold or transferred to Interocean Ugland Management in July of 1995. When this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still operational as Northern Lights for Totem Ocean Trailer Express, U.S.A.
