Northern Frost - Greece

The 1958-built, 4,236-dwt, 4,106-grt, refridgerated cargo carrier Northern Frost is seen in this photograph while she was transitting upbound in the Welland Canal at Thorold, Ontario, Canada during April of 1976.

She was built in Kiel, Germany by Keiler Howaldtswerke A.G. as Cap Corrientes. In the time since her construction she sailed as Cap Corrientes (69), Cacique Namuncura (73), Northern Frost (79), Multi Frost (82) and Albatross until she was de-commissioned. On December 3rd, 1983 she departed Singapore Roads on her final voyage and on the 10th she arrived at a port in China where she was subsequently broken up for scrap.
