The 1977-built, 7,694-dwt, 5,420-grt, bulk carrier Nordon is seen in this photograph while she was sailing southbound on Lake Ontario during the evening hours of July 5th, 1997. At the time it was taken she was approaching the entrance of the Welland Canal in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada

She was built in Haugesund, Norway by Brodrene Lothe A/S for Etela-Suomen Laiva as Pasila. In 1993 she was purchased by B&N, Bylock & Nordsjofrakt AB, Norway and renamed Nordon. In April of 1999 she was renamed Neva Trader by B&N and when this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still operational as such
