Nordic Trader - Panama

The 1982-built, 18,791-dwt, 11,256-grt, bulk carrier Nordic Trader is seen in this photograph while she was underway in the St. Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 4th, 1985.

She was built in Sasebo, Japan at the Sasebo Heavy Industries Company Ltd., drydock for Vermillion Overseas, Hong Kong as Scan Trader. Since her construction she has sailed as Scan Trader (82), Nordic Trader (89), Elm Trader (92), Roubini (97), Seven Pioneer (00), Super Sun (01), Hope 2 (02) and when this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still listed as operational as Super Sun under the flag of South Korea.
