The 1981-built, 19,954-dwt, 13,379-grt, oil and chemical tanker Nordic Blossom is seen in this photograph while she was transiting downbound in the Welland Canal in Ontario, Canada during the evening hours of a day in June of 1994.

She was built in Shimonoseki, Japan at the Hayashikane Shipbuilding & Engineering drydock for the Sun Company Ltd. (SUNOCO) and she entered service as Nordic Sun. Since her construction she has sailed as Nordic Sun (89), Nordic (94) and when this picture was added to the archives she was still listed as operational under the name Nordic Blossom (1999 picture).
