The 1976-built, 8,176-dwt, 5,306-grt, general cargo and bulk carrier Nordholm is seen in this photograph while she was transiting upbound in the Welland Canal in Ontario, Canada during the afternoon hours of a day in August of 1989.

She was built in Hakata, Japan at the Watanabe Zosen K.K. Shipyard for Klaus Oldendorff and she entered service as Nordholm. She sailed as such for most of career and it was not until January of 2001 that she was renamed for the first time. When this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still listed as operational under the name Samali S the Samali Shipping & Trading Co. Ltd. She was registered out of Lattakia, Syria and was being managed by the Samin Shipping Company.
