The 1979-built, 5,024-dwt, 14,087-grt, passenger and vehicle ferry Norcape is seen in this photograph while she was underway likely in the English Channel during the early 1990s.

She was built in Tamano, Japan by Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding for the P&O Group, England and she was launched as Puma. It is not known whether she ever operated as such since shortly after her launch she was renamed Tipperary. In 1989 she was renamed Norcape by North Sea Ferries and when she became part of P&O North Sea Ferries BV in 1996 her name was unchanged. When this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still operational as Norcape under the Dutch flag.
