The 1963-built, 30,215-dwt, 18,833-grt, bulk carrier Norbu is seen in this photograph while she was underway during May of 1975. The location of the photograph is unknown.

She was built in Bergen, Norway by A/S Bergens M/V as Norbu for I/S Norbu & Others (Sigurd B. Svendrup), Norway. In 1977 she was sold to Fram Shipowning Co., Ltd. of Liberia however her name was not changed. In 1979 she was sold to the China Ocean Shipping Company of China (COSCO QINGDAO) and renamed Ling Long Hai. Her registry was changed to Guangzhou/Canton, China.

In February of 1994 she was purchased by the Dalian Wantong Company however her name remained unchanged. Quite surprisingly, when this picture was added to the archives in September of 2002 she was still listed by Fairplay ISR as being operational still under the name Ling Long Hai. She has had an exceptionally long career now spanning 40 years!
