She was built in Venezia, Italy by Cantieri Nav. Breda S.p.A. in 1957 as Albatross. In 1964 she was sold and renamed Nebula by the Nan Yang Shipping Company and she was re-registered out of Mogadishu, Somalia. In July of 1977 she was renamed Nebulae by the Dawn Maritime Corporation of Panama. The picture below may have been taken while her name was being changed.
Late in 1978 she was sold to the Government of the People's Republic of China and on December 7th, 1978 she sailed from Hirohata, Japan to Tsamkong, China, presumably on her delivery voyage to her new owners. Shortly thereafter she was renamed Hong Qi 132. More than 10 years of service was put in by the aging ship as she sailed between ports in the far East. By the 1995 she no longer appeared in Lloyd's registers and it is assumed that she was sold for scrapping sometime between 1992 and 1995.
