The bulk carrier Milo is seen in this photograph while sailing southbound on Lake Ontario during the morning hours of April 4th, 2001. At the time it was taken she was about to enter the Welland Canal destined for Windsor to unload fluorspar.

Construction of this ship was ordered in Japan during October of 1983. A few months later during December the ship was launched and in March of 1994 she entered service as Silver Leader flying the Greek flag. She has sailed under these names and flags through her career so far. (a) Silver Leader Greece (11.94), (b) Alam United Malaysia (3.98), (c) United Bahamas (12.2000) and when this picture was added to the archives she was still operational as (d) Milo
