The 1970-built, 14,936 dwt, general cargo/container ship Margaret Johnson is seen in this photograph while she was
underway at Seattle, Washington during May of 1976. In 1986 she and her sistership
Axel Johnson were sold to Universal Glow Inc and towed
to Piraeus, Greece where both were to be converted to passenger ships. Only Axel Johnson was converted though.
Margaret Johnson was renamed Regent Sun after the sale but was sold for scrapping soon after.
In November of 1987 she arrived in Aliaga, Turkey where she was dismantled. Photograph by Ray Thorsteinson
