The general cargo / container ship Lykes Energizer is seen in this photograph while unloading steel beams at pier 12 in Hamilton, Ontario on November 25, 2000

Construction of this ship was ordered in Germany during October of 1987. A few years later during December of 1990 the ship was launchedbut she did not enter service until late in 1992. She finally did so under the name Kovrov flying the Russian flag. She has sailed under these names through her career so far. (a) Kovrov Russia (1.97), (b) Elan Vital Cyprus (9.97), (c) Thorsriver Cyprus (10.2000) and when this picture was added to the archives she was still operational as (d) Lykes Energizer
