She was built in Nagoya, Japan by Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries drydock as Golden Knight. In the time since her construction she sailed as Golden Knight (77), Sharpeville (80), Lara S (94) and finally Viva Treasure before being retired. On February 27th, 2001 she arrived at Chittagong, Bangladesh where she ran herself up on the scrapping beach. In the weeks that followed crews there reduced the well travelled hull to scrap.
