The 1978-built, 14,720-dwt, 17,459-grt, ice strengthened container ship Khudozhnik Prorokov is seen in this photograph while she was lying at anchor in the harbour at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada during July of 1979. Photo by Ray Thorsteinson.

She was built in Warnemuende, Germany by VEB Warnowwerft for the U.S.S.R. - Baltic Shipping Company as hull number 455. She was launched in October of 1977 and entered service during January of 1978 as Khudozhnik Prorokov. She was sold to Tsakos Shipping & Trading, Greece and renamed Irenes Music in October of 1993. By the following January they had changed her name to Tiger Island. In November of 2000 she was renamed Global Music by the Tolmi Shipping Co. Ltd. however Tsakos Shipping & Trading SA was retained as her manager.

It is likely however that by the time this name change took place that the ship's sailing career was at an end. By April of 2001 she had been sold for around $1.37 million (US) for scrapping in India. She arrived in Alang during May sometime where she was subsequently dismantled.
