** On January 5th, 1994 while Golden Crown was on a voyage from Port Esquivel, Jamaica to New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. she was in a collision with the 1968-built tanker Hellespont Faith in a position 28.48 N by 89.26 W in the Gulf of Mexico. It would seem that the damage to Golden Crown was substantial because following the collision she was grounded near the mouth of the Mississippi River possibly to prevent her sinking.
** She was refloated on January 7th and taken (possibly in tow) to New Orleans. There she was examined and later declared a constructive total loss
** The nature and extent of her damage is unknown but she was subsequently sold to St. Vincent flag interests who were associated with Wajilam Exports (Sng) Pte of Singapore. Her name was changed to Shivani and her flag was changed to St. Vincent.
** As such she sailed under own power, possibly following temporary repairs, from New Orleans for Alang, India
** Shivani arrived off Alang and anchored on 28 August 1994 and moved on to the scrapping beaches a few days later
** The identity of her final owner and scrapper is unknown
