The 1997/1998-built, 169,000-dwt, 90,884-grt iron ore strengthened bulk carrier Giuseppe Lembo is seen in this photograph while she was underway in Holland sometime during 2000. Photograph by Malte Schwarz.

She was built in Romania by Santierul Naval Constantza as their hull number 507 for Deiulemar Compagnia di Navigazione, Italy and she entered service during June of 1998 as Giuseppe Lembo. Fairplay recorded however that she was previously named Mineral Sakura and that she was owned by Bocimar Navigation. When this picture was added to the archives in 1/2003 she was still operational under the name Giuseppe Lembo.
