** Sisterships - Federal Agno (originally Federal Asahi and Federal Fuji
** All 3 ships were constructed to Lloyds 100 A1 classification with strengthened hulls for heavy cargoes. Holds #2 & 4 can be empty when such cargoes are being carried. Her hull is also strengthened for navigation through light ice conditions
** 27 September 1986 Federal Polaris collided with the Yugoslavian bulk carrier Cvijeta Zuzoric off St. Clair, Michigan and both sustained bow damage. Federal Polaris was repaired at Toledo, Ohio while Cvijeta Zuzoric was repaired some time later at an unknown shipyard.
** 1993 until 1995 she was owned by Ubem S.A., Belgium as Federal Polaris
** 1995 until 1996 Federal Polaris was owned by FedNav Ltd., Canada and managed by Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hong Kong under the Liberian flag
** 1996 until 1998 she was owned by FedNav International Ltd., Canada under the flag of Barbados
** 1998 until 2000 Federal Polaris was owned by Viken Lakers AS, Norway and managed by Team Ship Management AS, Norway for FedNav International, Canada
