* 23 January 1978 - She was refloated however it is not known whether tugs were used
* Owned by Alacalm cia. Naviera S.A., Panama from 1980 until 1982
* By February of 1982 Omar B was in use as a stationary floating storage facility on Teluk Semangka Bay on the southwest tip of Sumatra, Indonesia. She was under charter to Pertamina and was used along with several other much larger former Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) to receive, store and transship crude oil, kerosene and diesel oil.
