The 1971/72-built, 16,914-dwt, 10,598-grt, bulk carrier Daishowa Venture is seen in this photograph while she was underway at the port of Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. during October of 1977. Photo by Ray Thorsteinson.

She was built in Shimonoseki, Japan by the Hayashikane Shipbuilding & Engineering Company Ltd. for Triumph Carriers Inc., Liberia and she entered service during February of 1972 as Daishowa Venture. In the time since her construction she sailed as Daishowa Venture (78), Harngjin (80), Indah Jumbo (82), Epidavros Gulf (83), Cape Sounion (87) and Faith Star. She arrived in India during November of 1996 where she was finally cut up for scrap.
