The ship laid up in New York on September 2, 1984 and remained there until March 3, 1986. She had been sold for scrapping along with her fleet mate and near sister ship American Alliance, (a) Show Me Mariner (56), (b) Pioneer Mill (70) and they arrived at Kaohsiung, Taiwan on June 15, 1986 where they were both later broken up for scrap.
