The 1970/71-built, 913-dwt, 3,909-grt vehicle and passenger vessel Ailsa Princess is seen in this photograph while she was underway at Larne, Northern Ireland during July of 1978. Photo courtesy Barry Andersen's collection.

She was built in Venice, Italy by Cantiere Naval Breda SpA for the British Railways Board and she entered service during July of 1971 as Ailsa Princess. In the time since her construction she has sailed as Ailsa Princess until 1985 for British Rail, Earl Harold until 1989 for Sealink Ferries, Dimitria until 1994 and Nayas Express until 1995 for Ga Ferries, Greece, Naias Express until 2000 for Agapitos Lines, Greece and when this picture was added to the archives in 12/2002 she was still listed as operational under the name Express Adonis for Hellas Flying Dolphins SA, Greece.
