The 1969-built, 15,480-dwt, 8,928-grt, SD-14 class general cargo ship Aegis Fame is seen in this photograph while she was lying at anchor in the St. Lawrence River near Montreal on September 29th, 1978.

She was built in Skaramanga, Greece by Hellenic Shipyards Co. for the Aegis Shipping Company Ltd as Aegis Fame. Through her career she sailed as Aegis Fame until 1985 then Interlaken for Interlaken Shipping Company Ltd., Cyprus until 1986 and then Tong San for Tong San Marine S. de R.L., Taiwan until she was retired.

As Tong San she was registered out of San Lorenzo, Honduras. Her service life was at and end however and by January of 1987 she was enroute to the scrapyards at Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She arrived on February 5th, beached herself and by the 11th crews from Ging Ya Metal Enterprises began cutting the ship up for scrap.
