The 1970-built, 15,419-dwt, 8,966-grt, general cargo ship Acropolis is seen in this photograph while she was unloading cargo at dock in Tees, England on June 6th, 1979.

She was built in Tokyo, Japan by the Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Company Ltd. as Acropolis. She sailed as Acropolis for the first 8 years of her career then spent the remainder of her years as Delos. On May 3rd, 1994 Delos arrived off Alang, India and anchored. Then on the 11th she was run aground and later cut up for scrap.
