Hall Corporation Tankers of the Great Lakes

This is the third of four publications covering the Canadian Tankers of the Great Lakes. Ships selected for this book were powered tankers that sailed in the Great Lakes fleet of the Hall Corporation. It does not include chartered tonnage or members of the fleet that did not visit the Great Lakes.

The Hall Corporation Tankers of the Great Lakes was preceeded off the presses by the Imperial Oil Tankers of the Great Lakes and Branch Lines and Socanav Tankers of the Great Lakes. Like the two before it, Hall Corporation Tankers of the Great Lakes explores the histories of the ships which sailed for Hall's tanker division from its inception in 1957 to its demise and eventual breakup in 1986.

In all 24 ships are detailed with 94 superb photographs included to illustrate the ships through various stages of their careers. The complete sailing career of each vessel is recounted right from their construction to their final disposition.
